Featuring the Gandharvas and held at the Vedanta Society of Southern California in Hollywood. • Jizo Peace Center Open House October 15, 2006 • Peace Day to begin 2006: January 15, 2006 Featuring booths, opening prayers by the Visionaries of Peace, talk by Obadiah Harris, President of the University of Philosophical Research and ending with a concert by the Gandharvas. Held at the Philosophical Research Society, Los Angeles. • Donation of Jizo Statue to the Keiro Retirement Home January 13, 2006 This occurred during the home’s lovely New Year’s celebration, special holiday meal, and performance by the Awaya Kai Koto Ensemble led by Sensai Yoko Awaya. • Donation of Jizo Statues at Ananda Ashrama 2005 • Donation to Friends Outside December 2005 Donation of 3 red wagons for the 18th Annual Holiday Party for Children with Incarcerated Parents. • First Annual Veteran's Day Peace Chant: November 11, 2005 An evening of music to honor all those who have sacrificed for peace and to promote peace throughout the world. Featuring the Gandharvas and held at the Yoga Kingdom Sanctuary, Pasadena. • One Love Concert: September 17, 2005 Concert to benefit the Jizo Peace Center with music by Vernon Hicks and friends. • Jizos for Peace at Mentalphysics February 12, 2005 This included a Jizo presentation, the making of Panels for the Jizo quilts being made to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the atomic bombing of Nagasaki and Hiroshima along with a presentation of a Jizo statue. • Jizo Party at Ananda Ashrama November 29, 2004 This was another community event for making panels for the Jizo quilts.
