At the Lilac Festival in the middle of May, five of us did manage to fly the Giant Peace Dove in the parade (see photo below by Izumi). With a huge wind, the head became separated from the body before we started to walk, but Jim Davis, our reliable and trusty friend with the long beard, managed to put things back together by tying knots and using zip ties! We won a huge purple trophy as "the best float". Ed Serra designed the booth with many of his own creations and handpicked objects - including 5 lilac plants, all of which were sold.
